AKA Starry Batfish, Starry Handfish.
Fishes in the genus Halieutaea have the head expanded into a flat, circular disc. The upper surface has scales modified into spiny strongly pointed tubercles. The pectoral fins project laterally at the rear of the disc. The pelvic fins are located on the underside of the disc.
After skeletonized, this fish really looks like a portrait of a starry night. How cool is that?
